What We Offer

Music is a vital part of our service of worship. Those with any level of talent and interest in singing in the choir or in playing an instrument are invited to contact the Director of Music Dianne Ney.

nursery

Nursery Care is available during worship. This is a supervised nursery for infants and toddlers and it is offered each Sunday. The nursery is also air-conditioned during hot summer months.

Pastoral Care. A pastor is available to meet with individuals or families on any occasion of concern. The pastor can also help with referrals to other agencies serving particular needs. Please e-mail the church office or call 860.246.2224.

Small groups offer a variety of short term and ongoing opportunities for fellowship, adult study, socializing over dinner or discussing current literature.

library

A place for groups to meet and concerts to be held. Non-profit neighborhood or community groups, self help and 12 step groups are encouraged to use the facilities. Long-term space rental is also possible for business or religious start-up to the extent that the mission and values of these groups are consistent with FPC's interest in meeting human needs, in the self development of people, and in justice and community building.

Policy Highlights

Groups using the building may be required to pay a fee for security, utility use, janitor and maintenance services created by their use of the building. Click here for an application. Please note:

These policy highlights are a guideline only. Any questions should be referred to church staff, the pastor or Session. All requests to use the building are subject to review.

Parking

The church has ample parking for Sunday worship and special events: adjacent to the church; metered street parking, and most of the large, adjacent State Parking Lots are available and free of charge after 5:00 PM weekdays and all day/evening on weekends.

Accessibility

Handicapped accessibility is via Sanctuary access ramp at street level. Restrooms on the main floor are also handicapped accessible. Accessibility to lower and upper level rooms requires ability to self-maneuver a number of stairs.
